Elena Grishina
I am currently the Financial Director of Renaissance Capital, having previously occupied the same role at Ernst & Young. I started my career as an accounting clerk at Arthur Andersen back in 1994 – and rose through different levels and areas within the Finance Department to eventually become the Financial Manager/Controller.
I joined Renaissance because I wanted to be in a dynamic environment, working with interesting people and also wanted to move into the field of investment banking.
My day-to-day duties here include supervision of financial matters such as financial accounting, management accounting, financial analysis, budgeting and planning.
I would say the kinds of people who thrive at Renaissance are real decision makers, people committed to what they do and to achieving high results. It also helps if you’re able to think differently – and outside of the box.
The culture and character of Renaissance is one of dynamism and aiming for results. It’s a much more entrepreneurial and dynamic environment than the places I have worked in before, with a slightly more driven culture, with fewer bureaucratic procedures – and certainly more interesting people around.
