Our debt trading activities provide clients – both issuer and investor – with liquidity and market access, mark to market valuations and real-time information on global money flows. By investing our own capital, we also help to balance the buying and selling interest of our client base.

We are among the market leaders in rouble and non-rouble bond trading volumes both on MICEX and the over-the-counter market. In addition to securities trading, the trading desk provides other services including currency and interest rate risk hedging mechanisms, REPO and access to structured products and traded derivatives.

Renaissance Capital traded 170 different local bonds and 85 corporate Eurobond issues in 2006, with rouble bond trading volumes reaching US$ 5 billion from the previous year’s US$ 2.5 billion and Eurobonds volume to US$ 3.38 billion. REPO financing against bonds has also increased two-fold in 2006.
